Using Reserved instances to reserve the VMs ahead of time and Azure Hybrid Benefit to leverage licensing you already own can reduce compute cost by as much as 80%. Also, utilizing auto-scale to ‘scale in’ your host pools after hours can ensure you aren’t paying for VMs that don’t need to be running.
